EVP: Electronic Voice Phenomena

EVP are audible occurrences, of questionable origin, which can be heard and
electronically captured on various types of recording apparatus. EVP has
been captured using Tape recorders, Telephones, Answering Machines, Film, Radio and
a variety of other digital equipment.

Interest in EVP can be dated back to the 1920s when Thomas Edison suggested
during an interview with Scientific American, that "It is possible to construct
an apparatus which will be so delicate that if there are personalities in another
existence or sphere who wish to get in touch with us in this existence or sphere,
this apparatus will at least give them a better opportunity to express themselves
than the tilting tables and rapping and quija boards and mediums and the other
crude methods now purported to be the only means of communication."

Practically speaking, those that Study EVP are seeking to understand the
ongoing evidence being retrieved with regard to electronic communication
between themselves and their loved ones that have passed on and still others
who simply look for proof that Life Does Exist after Death.

There are a couple of generalizations as to the Origin of EVP messages today.
Because capturing EVP's is continuously evolving there is no
consensus as to where the EVP messages are coming from or how to truly best
receive them.

ORIGIN #1: The Survival Hypothesis is one that seems to be progressing rapidly through the EVP community. It is argued within this Hypothesis that every living thing survives physical death and that upon our physical death our 'Essence' is released into the atmosphere to go on living within other levels of reality. It is believed that most of the EVP messages retrieved are initiated by people who once existed within our plane of existence.

ORIGIN #2: There are some that believe that they have captured messages from what can be best described as an Angelic entity. These Angelic entities are considered to be of a different hierarchy of creation and are in some way related to the operation and functionality of our reality.

ORIGIN #3: Still some believe that there is a Mind to Mind connection between the entity we are communicating with and the communicator (The person seeking to speak with the entity that has experienced a physical death). This would be similar to what one may have experienced when contacting a psychic medium to communicate with a loved one that has passed. In this case, the Recorder acts as the Medium, telekinetically impressing, capturing and responding for the entity the message they wish to communicate to us. Please keep in mind that all of these generalizations are purely speculation on behalf of the individuals that have worked with EVP. We still need a considerable amount more evidence in order to prove our findings to be real.

As we progress in our understanding of EVP and our attempts to explain their origins, we hope to find the scientific proof through evidence that life not only exists after death, but that we can communicate with those that have left our plane of existence.
